BERLIN – After completing a successful private BETA, beroNet GmbH will launch a public beta for its new modular VoIP Gateways (BNGW-M, BNGW-L and BNGW-XL). This updated generation of beroNet VoIP Gateways brings support for an additional beroNet Module, increases app support with a microSD slot and adds enhanced SIP-to-SIP SBC functionality.

“Our focus is to help our partners become VoIP heroes to their customers,” said Christian Richter, CEO at beroNet. “The best way to do this is to provide flawless technology that is both easy to use, and flexible enough to support any business need. By launching our newest VoIP Gateway in a public beta, we are making a statement to our partners that any stable release from beroNet will be rock solid.”

beroNet’s Modular Gateway combines reliable VoIP hardware with modern flexibility and management. With models able hold up to three beroNet Modules, these gateways support any combination of BRI, PRI, FXS, and FXO. Using the beroNet Cloud, it is possible to remotely track device connectivity, manage device settings, create and restore backups, and update device firmware.

With enhanced SIP-to-SIP functionality the new beroNet Modular Gateway also functions as a session border controller. Both “L” and “XL” models come with two NIC ports, allowing for internal and external packet separation. Because this is also a VoIP Gateway, it is possible to create a SIP connection between both IP-PBX systems and Legacy PBX systems around the world for direct calls between branches and a local failover to the PSTN.

With the beroNet Market you can download applications that expand the functionality of a beroNet Gateway and save these to the newly incorporated microSD slot. One such application is the beroNet Survival Branch Appliance. IT professionals with some programming “know-how” can also use the beroNet API to develop their own applications. Support for the microSD slot will be added during the public beta.

“I’m looking forward to the feedback we will receive from our customers,” said Thomas Häger, co-founder and lead developer on this project. “With their help we will ensure that beroNet VoIP Gateways are the easiest VoIP Gateways to install and support.”

During the public beta, customers can purchase the BNGW beta units directly from beroNet. Additional modules and accessories will be sold through our distribution partners. All requests for these devices should be submitted using the inquiry form located on our website.
